The short version: Scale Degree has no accounts, no ads, and no data sales. Your practice data lives in your own iCloud. This website uses Google Analytics, and the contact form collects only what's needed to reply to you.
Scale Degree and scaledegree.com are operated by an independent developer ("we"), the data controller for any personal information described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@scaledegree.com.
The app
Scale Degree does not require an account, and we do not collect personal information through the app. Your learning progress (lesson results, mastery, review schedule) is stored on your device and, if you're signed into iCloud, synced through your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) so it follows you across your devices. We cannot access, read, or share the data in your private iCloud. Deleting the app and its iCloud data removes your progress entirely.
This website — analytics
scaledegree.com uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) — but only with your consent. No analytics cookies are set unless you accept them in the cookie banner; declining (or ignoring) the banner means no analytics run at all. If you accept, Google Analytics collects usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy, and we use it only in aggregate to improve the site. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time — change your cookie settings.
Contact form
If you write to us through the support form or by email, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide. Form submissions are processed by our hosting provider, Netlify; email goes through our email provider. In both cases we use this information only to respond to you, keep it only as long as needed to handle your request, and never share or sell it.
What we don't do
No accounts or sign-ups. No advertising or ad tracking. No selling or sharing of personal data. No third-party analytics inside the app. No data collection from children beyond the above — the app is suitable for all ages and collects nothing personal.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we hold almost nothing — at most a support conversation — this is usually simple: email support@scaledegree.com and we'll handle your request. Your app progress in iCloud is under your own control and can be deleted from your device's iCloud settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the updated version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted on the home page.
